Tools for Client Progression
The bodyweight workouts that we post 3 times a week are used by our seasoned clients to help further their functional fitness and to offer them a physical challenge when they are unable to train with us for any length of time. The workouts are scaled to a level that a person in reasonable, functional shape could complete them.
Feel free to perform the workouts if you have the conditioning and skill to complete them. Once completed, post your results to our forums and tell us about your experiences.
If you lack the ability to complete the workout, then you should contact us immediately and set an appointment to train with us, because its time to change you life.
Functional fitness is not optional. It is a requirement for healthy living.

Our Mission
Our mission is simple.
We want to offer you the most effective and complete fitness system. Period. Our program is scalable for any individual--from the elite athlete to the elderly. We all have athletes inside of us and at CrossFit Alpha, you discover, train and mold that athlete.
Action plans, setting goals, personalized workouts and individual training are standard for all of our clients. As a CrossFit Alpha client, you can expect to be trained every time you work with us. You can also expect a different workout every day.
Workouts are comprised of constantly varied, functional, compound movements executed at high intensity. Perfect form is demanded and monitored in every workout--there is no compromise of form for the sake of intensity or time of completion. We want to challenge you, and help you progress through multiple tiers of fitness. You will benefit from CrossFit, in more ways than one.
The workouts are hard, and the results are dramatic.
Are you ready to take your fitness to the next level?

Progressive Personal Training
Why "Alpha"? - A dissection of our personal training fitness program.
Alpha as defined by WordNet® 3.0, © 2006 by Princeton University.
adjective
1. first in order of importance; "the alpha male in the group of chimpanzees"; "the alpha star in a constellation is the brightest or main star"
noun
2. the beginning of a series or sequence; "the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end"--Revelations
This definition is key to understanding how our program works. Alpha as defined above has an emphasis on progression, and progression is exactly what our program is based on. Let me dissect this progression further into 3 independent entities:
MECHANICS
It doesn't matter your fitness background or experience. We start you at the beginning of the 5-level system to identify your fitness weaknesses and progress you through the program. Once we identify these, we set short and intermediate term goals. We then work together on how to overcome these weak links, and begin an action plan to address and meet the newly created goals.
We constantly review and practice the basic movements of the CrossFit program to ensure proper form is adhered to, and improved upon when needed.
CONSISTENCY
The only way to progress in any fitness endeavor is to be consistent with your training, rest, and diet. More important, though, is consistent adherence to the mechanics on which the fitness program is based. CrossFit Alpha is obsessed with exercise form. If you do not have it, we teach it to you. If you forget it, we reteach it--and keep at it until it sticks!
INTENSITY
This is the meat and potatoes of the program--the heart and soul of CrossFit. As you progress through our 5 levels, you will see the intensity increase exponentially. Intensity is CrossFit. Sweat and tears are standard issue when the intensity hits, but we make sure you are ready.
We are fitness progressed. We are CrossFit Alpha.

The Beginning
This is a pictorial showing the 2 weekend adventure of converting my garage into a micro-gym worthy of CrossFit.
First you must find a friend willing to help, or as in my case…. one NOT so willing to help. Enter my best friend, Alex.
Want a recipe for fun? Take 20 rubber mats at 100 pounds a piece, add a healthy dose of rain….. then try to move them.
