This definition is key to understanding how our program works. Alpha as defined above has an emphasis on progression, and progression is exactly what our program is based on. Let me dissect this progression further into 3 independent entities:
MECHANICS
It doesn't matter your fitness background or experience. We start you at the beginning of the 5-level system to identify your fitness weaknesses and progress you through the program. Once we identify these, we set short and intermediate term goals. We then work together on how to overcome these weak links, and begin an action plan to address and meet the newly created goals.
We constantly review and practice the basic movements of the CrossFit program to ensure proper form is adhered to, and improved upon when needed.
CONSISTENCY
The only way to progress in any fitness endeavor is to be consistent with your training, rest, and diet. More important, though, is consistent adherence to the mechanics on which the fitness program is based. CrossFit Alpha is obsessed with exercise form. If you do not have it, we teach it to you. If you forget it, we reteach it--and keep at it until it sticks!
INTENSITY
This is the meat and potatoes of the program--the heart and soul of CrossFit. As you progress through our 5 levels, you will see the intensity increase exponentially. Intensity is CrossFit. Sweat and tears are standard issue when the intensity hits, but we make sure you are ready.
We are fitness progressed. We are CrossFit Alpha.
