Our Take on Kettlebell Training

Here at CrossFit Alpha we train under Girevoy Sport kettlbell lifting principles as coached by Valery Fedorenko. Every world record set in the sport of kettlbell lifting has been set using this protocol.
Efficiency in lifts takes precedence, with the athlete trying to achieve a level of kettlebell professionalism... a stoic discipline resonating from the lifter. Allowing them to focus on form and pace. Why is this so important?
Learning to completely relax under load allows you to react far more explosively, generating much greater force with far less effort, wear and tear. This is necessary when lifting for a long time frame, and the exact opposite approach to more traditional powerlifting techniques.

Parkour, to us, is the ability to properly manipulate your body around objects in a quick, efficient, and safe manner.

Our Take on CrossFit

We chose CrossFit as our primary vehicle to deliver elite fitness due to it's potent endocrinic response and ability to deliver results. It takes your level of fitness far beyond what traditional weightlifting (bodybuilding) and cardio programs can.
We present the CrossFit system in a highly scalable format, while constantly monitoring your performance.

A Theoretical Hierarchy of Athletic Development
A theoretical hierarchy exists for the development of an athlete. It starts with nutrition and moves to metabolic conditioning, gymnastics, weightlifting, and finally sport.

This hierarchy largely reflects foundational dependence, skill, and to some degree, time ordering of development. The logical flow is from molecular foundations, cardiovascular sufficiency, body control, external object control, and ultimately mastery and application. This model has greatest utility in analyzing athletes’ shortcomings or difficulties.
We don’t deliberately order these components but nature will. If you have a deficiency at any level of “the pyramid” the components above will suffer.
